Content Removal & Appeals Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Asking for content to be taken down

Anyone can ask us to remove content from Keyhold, whether or not they have an account. We will remove content that breaks our Terms or the law, and any image of you that was shared without your consent.

  • Members: use the report button on the profile, post, or message.
  • Anyone: email [email protected] with a link or the username involved and a short description. You do not have to prove who you are to report that something shows you without consent, and please don’t send the image itself.
  • Anything involving a child: email [email protected]. That content is removed at once, preserved as the law requires, and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
  • Copyright: send a DMCA notice as described in section 8 of our Terms.

What we do with a removal request

  • We confirm we have it within 2 business days.
  • Content that appears to involve a minor, or to have been shared without the consent of someone shown in it, is hidden as soon as we see the request, while we review it.
  • We decide within 7 business days and tell you what we did.
  • Removed content is taken off the Platform. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.

Appealing a decision

If we removed your content, restricted or suspended your account, or turned down your removal request, you can appeal:

  • Use the appeal link in the email we sent you about the decision, or
  • email [email protected] with your username and why you think we got it wrong.

We review every appeal again, with a different member of the team where one is available, and give you a final answer within 7 business days. If we were wrong, we restore the content or the account. Content involving a minor is never restored.
